Tim is an experienced mission-driven and equity-focused organizational leader with a track record of driving growth, achieving results, managing change, and building strong culture. He has been a teacher, principal, district leader, and nonprofit executive, bringing almost 20 years of experience to his new role of Chief Executive Officer at United to Learn.

Tim most recently served as Chief Consulting Officer at TNTP, a national nonprofit dedicated to transforming public education so all young people can thrive—academically, economically, and socially. In this role, Tim led the strategic vision for TNTP’s Consulting Division, overseeing more than 350 engagements that reach over 19 million students across 6,000 systems in 42 states and territories. His work ensures TNTP’s talent and academic consulting delivers meaningful impact and advances the organization’s vision for social and economic mobility.

Previously, as Vice President for the Southwest, Tim led consulting work in Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas—helping educators, schools, and systems expand access to opportunity. He has spearheaded major statewide initiatives on learning acceleration, community engagement, school turnaround, leadership development, and school design, as well as innovative programs to grow teacher and leader pipelines in San Francisco Unified School District.

Before joining TNTP, Tim spent his career in Dallas ISD, where he taught middle school math, served as principal at both the elementary and middle school levels, and ultimately became an Executive Director in School Leadership, managing and coaching 13 principals. He holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas, an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas, and Texas SBEC certifications in 4–8 Math, 8–12 Math, and K–12 Principal.

Tim lives in Dallas, Texas with his husband and their two children, where he remains deeply committed to creating pathways for all students to achieve their fullest potential
