As Program Manager, Sandy Foer supports the implementation and effectiveness of programs delivered across our partner schools, working closely with the Literacy pillar.

Originally from Northern Virginia, Sandy discovered her passion for working with children early on. Inspired by teachers who helped her become more confident, creative, and resilient, she decided to pursue a career that allowed her to make a similar impact. Sandy earned a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Accounting and Information Systems and Operations Management from George Mason University. She began her career as an IT audit consultant at EY, where her love for working with others grew. However, her desire to work with children led her back to George Mason to earn a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education. Sandy then joined the education field as a Kindergarten teacher.

With four years of experience in K-1 classrooms, Sandy has learned the importance of building trust, fostering relationships, and creating positive learning environments. While teaching in the Frisco Independent School District, she furthered her education with a Master of Science in Organizations, Learning, and Technologies from Texas A&M University-Commerce, strengthening her skills in leadership, coaching, and mentorship.

In her free time, Sandy enjoys reading, hosting dinner parties and game nights with her husband, and playing with her two cats. She loves traveling with her best friend—her mom! Sandy and her husband are food lovers and can often be found trying new restaurants around Dallas. A fun fact about Sandy is that she dreams of writing her own books one day, whether children’s stories or novels for adults.
