As Director of HR, Karem Montemayor is responsible for providing full lifecycle HR support including recruiting, onboarding, performance reviews, professional development, and benefits, while sustaining the culture and retention goals of the organization.

Karem is a multi-faceted HR professional with over 10 years of experience in project management, talent operations, and corporate communications. She is originally from Dallas and received her degree in Art History from the University of North Texas. Since then, she has had diverse career experiences, including project management at an Art Conservation Studio, communications at the Dallas Museum of Art, and finally working within the ESG practice at Deloitte. In her spare time, she has served on the Arts Board for the City of Irving and volunteered with numerous organizations, which is how she was initially introduced to United to Learn.

As a lifelong learner, she believes in the importance of supporting early educational opportunities for all students, fostering a culture of learning and curiosity. When out of the office, Karem enjoys cultural events, cycling, yoga, and all things outdoors. She believes nature is one of our greatest teachers and is an advocate for Dallas Parks.
