As Program Manager, Cheryl Mathis supports the implementation and effectiveness of programs delivered across our partner schools. She works closely with the Community Activation team mobilizing volunteers.

Cheryl earned her Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Baylor University and worked in higher education for 12 years at the University of North Alabama (UNA) and Baylor University. While at UNA and Baylor, her roles included advising and supervising students in leadership development, event, program, and organizational management, as well as volunteer experience, grounded in student development and engagement theory. After moving back to the DFW metroplex, Cheryl, a Fort Worth native, served as the fundraising event manager for the River Legacy Foundation and Nature Center in Arlington, TX before accepting her role at U2L. Cheryl is glad to be back in the education sphere helping engage the Dallas community in Dallas ISD schools!
