Why give to United to Learn?
As we start this school year, 60% of Dallas elementary students aren’t reading on grade level. By 2036, 70% of jobs will require an education past high school. With less than half of students on track to achieve that, United to Learn works to help accelerate student achievement. We invest in four data-driven levers of education: social emotional learning, literacy, learning environments, and community activation. How can helping students thrive today impact our city’s future?
Third-grade reading is a leading indicator of academic success. Students reading at grade level by the 3rd grade are 3 times more likely to be college-ready when they graduate. Happier students perform better too. Research shows that positive environments significantly benefit both student outcomes and teacher effectiveness. Community investment in our schools today sets up students for future success as purposeful leaders and strong contenders in our future workforce.
United to Learn’s Reach
In the 2024-2025 school year, United to Learn is working alongside Dallas ISD to support
- 103 Dallas ISD elementary school campuses,
- 5,000 Educators (teachers, administration teams, and campus staff), and
- 52,000 Students.
